The Power of Reflection

As the first segment of this series on achieving a balanced life comes to an end. Let us take some time out to reflect. It’s so easy to become engrossed in what we learned and never sit back and think of how we can apply it to our lives. There is power in reflection. The true power is when we can view ourselves in retrospect. Have we truly decided on becoming more productive? If so, how? What steps are we going to take to improve our lives and the quality of the lives of the people we love in general? Remember the Euology exercise? What do you value most? What do you want the most out of this life? What do you want? What do you want now? And what’s stopping you?

Think about where you are now. Think about where you’ve been. Imagine yourself being who you’ve always wanted to be. Are you still the same person for 8 months back or have you grown? Are you the same person from 10 years back or have you changed? if your answer is yes to any of these, my friend you are in trouble.

Consider your life. The things you like. And the things you don’t.

Write down your long term goals, dreams, and desires.

Now write down your short term goals, dreams, and desires.

Okay, now write your immediate goals. What can or should I be doing now?

Turn those into your To-Do list, and get the ball rolling…
